Job Summary: The Student Support Specialist assists in providing multi-tiered systems of support to students. The assistant works directly with students who have a variety of needs. Some of the responsibilities include providing one-on-one or small group instruction, supporting intervention strategies, and collecting data on student progress. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Positive attitude and rapport with students Ability to work cooperatively with teachers and students Desired Qualifications: Experience as an instructional assistant Experience working with at-risk students Job Description: Check-in and connect with at-risk students regarding their academic progress, attendance, and behavior Run interventions during the day that support academic growth Run credit recovery programs after each trimester Work collaborative as member of building Multi-Tiered Systems and Support (MTSS) team Responsible for maintaining confidentiality for all school-related information Shall perform other duties as assigned by the principal Physical Requirements and Work Environment: This position may require long periods of standing, sitting, and walking. The position may require occasional lifting of supplies and movement of classroom furnishings during the course of the school day. Work may take place both indoors and outdoors, with the possibility of some travel to other schools or field trip locations. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:40 am to 2:40 pm 6.50 hours daily, 32.50 hours weekly, August to June Salary: $14.46 per hour Benefits: Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, 6 School Closure Days, Retirement, and Holidays per the bargaining unit agreement Deadline: August 23rd, 2026 All candidates are required to complete the StyleProfile™ assessment as a component of their application.
