Per Diem Pediatric Urgent Care Advanced Practice Provider

Position Overview PM Pediatric Care is expanding and looking for pediatricians to join our team of over 70 PEM providers. Responsibilities Assess and treat acute injury and illness for in‑person and telemedicine patients, including febrile infant/child, ear/nose/throat infections, abdominal pain, anaphylaxis, procedural anxiolysis, respiratory distress, croup, and asthma. Perform procedural care: abscess drainage, foreign body removal, laceration repair with sutures, staples, and dermal adhesive. Take radiographs and provide preliminary interpretation, with official radiology over‑reads where applicable. Oversee in‑person and telemedicine patient flow, daily office functions, and supervise other providers, staff, and trainees on shift. Maintain operations by following policies, reporting needed changes, ensuring lab and radiology result review, patient follow‑up, and timely responses to patient calls and questions. Ensure a safe, secure, equitable work environment by enforcing safety procedures, quality standards, and complying with legal regulations. Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA. Update knowledge through internal training, continuing education, and participation in professional organizations. Assist the clinical team and patients with complaints and participate in service recovery when needed. Focus on efficiency metrics to improve urgent care flow, antibiotic stewardship, and patient experience. Qualifications Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible in Pediatrics. Urgent Care or Emergency Department experience preferred. Motivated, energetic, and passionate about pediatric healthcare. Excellent critical thinking, multitasking, and teamwork skills. Excellent computer skills; experience with EMR (eCW experience preferred). Work Schedule Flexible schedule, 12‑36 hours per week (part‑time or full‑time). No overnights.
