This role will be a part of our vibrant Accounting and Finance team, where you will be responsible for managing all aspects related to the financial operations of our portfolio of commercial properties.

This is a permanent, full-time position, offering a unique opportunity to leverage your accounting skills in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in property accounting, commercial real estate accounting, and retail, with proficiency in MRI software and CAM reconciliations.

Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of commercial properties.

Conduct monthly, quarterly, and yearly CAM reconciliations and ensure accuracy and compliance with lease agreements.

Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, including variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

Coordinate with property managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

Oversee the accounts payable and receivable, property taxes, insurance, and other property-related costs.

Provide support during audits and assist with tax preparation and filing.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant accounting standards, tax laws, and industry trends.

Utilize MRI software for property management accounting functions and generate insightful reports.

Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

A minimum of 2 years of experience in property accounting, with a focus on commercial real estate.

Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.

Proficiency in MRI software and experience with CAM reconciliations.

Experience in the retail sector is a plus.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and interact with various stakeholders.

High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

CPA or CMA certification will be considered an asset.
