Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Trauma ICU for a travel nursing job in Madison, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Trauma ICU Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 15 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN), Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Trauma Madison, WI. This position involves providing advanced care for critically ill surgical, medical, and trauma patients in a Level One Trauma Center. The role offers an opportunity to work in a renowned academic medical center with access to cutting-edge therapies and research initiatives. Job Details Location: Madison, WI Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts between 7:00am and 11:30pm, with every other weekend rotation and some holidays. Required Qualifications: Valid RN license in Wisconsin or a compact state, a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS), Epic electronic medical records experience, and at least 2 years of ICU experience. Preferred Qualifications: Critical care experience in a trauma or surgical ICU setting, experience with arterial line management, chest tube procedures, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line management, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction. Responsibilities include managing complex patient care, participating in emergency response protocols, and adhering to strict clinical guidelines.
