Interim Respiratory Therapy Manager

Healthcare Executive Placements, Inc. (HCEPInc) is seeking an Interim Respiratory Therapy Manager for a W2 Contract position based in Redwood City, CA. Schedule: Day, Monday through Friday, 5 8's, 7:00 am to 3:30pm Assignment Duration: 3 Months + Compensation: This position offers a daily rate of $450 to $475 which equates to $2,250 to $2,375 per week (based on a 5-day workweek) Per Diems: Lodging: $183per day and Meals & Incidentals: $86 per day Per diems are paid daily, 7 days a week, totaling $1,883per week Total Weekly Compensation (Daily Rate + Per Diems): Between $4,133 to $4,258 per week Benefits: Paid sick leave, Paid holidays, Co-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance, Cafeteria plan access and 401(k) retirement plan. Position Summary: Manages staff in providing delivery of high quality, patient-focused, and cost-effective pulmonary care services in a widely diverse culture across the CSA. Accountable for service area and across the continuum of care. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Essential Functions: Develops, implements, andmonitorsquality of CSA pulmonary standards across the continuum of care. Ensures all programs support theorganizationsgoals and strategic plans. Coordinates plans of treatment, customer focused delivery of services, and cost effective utilizationof services.Ensures all patient careis in compliance withadministrative, legal, and regulatory requirements and follows established policies and procedures.Works with other health care providers to develop, implement, and provide efficient pulmonary care services and outcomes. Reviews best practice models including systems development and cost effective care delivery models. Develops, implements, and evaluates standards of practice, to improve quality and service to members. Meets short and long term financial goals by continually planning, developing, monitoring,adjustingand evaluating annual budgets.Identifiesopportunities to reduce costs, whilemaintainingquality of services. Managesstaff, ensuring all are fully competent in providing the highest quality of care to members. Determinesappropriate staffingtomaintainthe service levels. Develops and presents in-service programs to medical center staff.Managesand resolves human resource , employee and department safety, and risk management issues. Qualifications: Four (4) years of management experience in respiratory care, in a multi-faceted health care system,multi -service provider setting or academic settingrequired. Bachelors degree in respiratory care, health care administration, nursing, business administration OR completion within two (2) years OR four (4) years of equivalent experience in related field. High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)required. Respiratory Care Practitioner License (California)required. Registered Respiratory Therapist Certificaterequired. Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulationsrequired. Demonstrated knowledge of budgeting, staffing, systems, quality improvement, and clinical care delivery in an inpatient settingrequired.
