Interim L&D Nurse Manager

Healthcare Executive Placements, Inc. (HCEPInc) is seeking an Interim L&D Nurse Manager, for a W2 Contract position based in Oakland, CA. Schedule: Full time, Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks with high likelihood of extending Compensation: This position offers a daily rate of $700 to $730 which equates to $3,500 to $3,650 per week (based on a 5-day workweek) Per Diems: Lodging: $145 per day and Meals & Incidentals: $92 per day Per diems are paid daily, 7 days a week, totaling $1,659 per week Total Weekly Compensation (Daily Rate + Per Diems): Between $5,159 to $5,309 per week Benefits: Paid sick leave, Paid holidays, Co-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance, Cafeteria plan access and 401(k) retirement plan. The Nurse Manager for is responsible for leading nursing teams to uphold the highest standards of professional nursing practice. This role emphasizes the use of evidence-based practices to ensure high-quality patient care, fosters a culture of excellence, and encourages innovation and research within the department. The Nurse Manager will motivate and inspire their team, recognize individual contributions, and celebrate achievements while developing their own leadership potential. Responsibilities: Lead and manage the Labor and Delivery nursing team. Ensure adherence to professional nursing standards and practices. Promote evidence-based practices in patient care. Encourage research and innovation within the department. Motivate and inspire team members to achieve departmental goals. Recognize and celebrate individual and team accomplishments. Requirements: Registered Nurse (RN) license in California. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher. Previous experience in a managerial role within a healthcare setting. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred: Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration. Certification in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing (RNC-OB). Experience with quality improvement initiatives. About Healthcare Executive Placements Inc.
