Operations Manager

Becton Dickinson

Becton Dickinson seeks a Distribution Manager to oversee warehouse operations at its Durham, North Carolina facility. This role manages facility efficiency, staffing, compliance, and cost control while serving as a liaison between distribution and manufacturing leadership.

Responsibilities

Direct programs to optimize facility operation, cost-effectiveness, and equipment utilization
Monitor work volumes and adjust staffing and scheduling to meet customer demands
Review warehouse procedures and implement improvements for operational efficiency
Use Labor Management System data to track productivity and achieve performance targets
Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain safe warehouse environment with open communication

Requirements

High school diploma or GED with 5-10 years in manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, or operations
2+ years of proven leadership experience
Knowledge of inventory management and Warehouse Management Systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Demonstrated people leadership and project management skills
Familiarity with GMPs, SOPs, and regulated quality standards
Bachelor's degree preferred in manufacturing, supply chain, or related field
