Registered Nurse (RN) - CVOR

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in the RN Circulator role and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality patient care within a dynamic surgical environment.

Unit Information

• Number of Operating Rooms: 6
• Patient Ratios: Each case requires one scrub and one circulator; pump cases may additionally require a first assist/Heart Holder, which can be either an RN or CST.
• Staffing: 1 Unit Secretary, 1 Charge Nurse, 1 PCA, and 1 Core Tech available.
• Type of Equipment: Stryker
• Documentation System: Cerner
• Floating Policy: Infrequent floating may occur.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the CVOR, including preparation and assistance during surgical procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures regarding surgical attire and patient safety.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and surgical outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience Required: Extensive experience in the RN Circulator role is mandatory. Proficiency in scrub/first assist is preferred but not required.
• Certifications: Current RN license and BLS certification are required.
• Procedures Performed: Experience with CABG, Valve Replacement, VAD Insertions, TAVR, VATS, Lobectomy, Pacemaker/AICD Insertions, Septal Myectomy, Ross Procedure, EVH, IABP Insertions, Femoral Cannulation, and Circulatory Arrest is highly valued.

The successful candidate will be part of a prestigious surgical program that demonstrates excellence in patient care and surgical outcomes. Orientation will include a review of unit guidelines and policies.
