E-commerce Associate

Compensation: $19.70 per hour Location: Mountain View and San Jose Summary To contribute in the day-to-day operations of the e-commerce business of Hope Thrift, which includes order processing, research using the internet, and assisting with accepting donations. Must maintain a safe, clutter-free work environment and display strong problem-solving skills. Essential Functions Assist with the processing of all incoming and outgoing products to meet operational needs. Enlist items on various platforms. Assist with shipping and receiving. Follow safety and regulatory compliance, adherence to agency mission and values. Maintain a neat location and assure security of all materials. Perform other duties as assigned to assure efficiency of operation. Qualifications Required High-school diploma or GED, one-year related work experience or an approved combination of training, work experience and education. Basic computer skills. Required Knowledge and Skills Basic familiarity with MS Office Suite. Ability to communicate professionally in both written and oral forms; ability to observe, evaluate, document and communicate verbally and in writing. Strong problem-solving skills and sound decision-making abilities with proper use of common sense. Ability to relate in a positive, constructive manner with clients, Hope staff, community and business members. Ability to work independently, including managing time, prioritizing, completing assignments and following up. Ability to facilitate systems and checks to assure delivery of quality service and product to internal and external customers. Willingness to work with people with disabilities; must be patient and understanding. Environmental Conditions Constant movement around the service area, and travel into the community. Time spent sitting, using a computer station, periods of intense concentration, using the telephone, paperwork. Time spent in meetings, travel to various work site locations. Exposure to outdoor weather and environmental conditions. Positions connected to a production environment are also exposed to times of fast-paced activity, loud noise and dust and airborne particles.
