About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission of economic development and community resilience in a seven-state region. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administrative, programmatic, and fiscal management of the organization, ensuring that its structure, budget, and programs align with the strategic plan and the initiatives of the states. This role requires a dynamic leader with a passion for community impact, the ability to navigate complex environments, and a proven track record in economic or community development. The Executive Director will be tasked with creating and supporting business development, improving infrastructure, expanding access to essential services, and strengthening workforce training and education opportunities. Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include directing a multi-faceted community and economic development program, establishing goals and performance measures, and overseeing the execution of all programs. The ideal candidate will have a background in economic development, community development, or a related field, and must possess executive-level management experience. They should be adept at representing the organization's needs at all levels of government, be skilled in developing partnerships, and have a strong understanding of the federal budget and appropriation process. The role demands a leader with excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work in a politically sensitive environment, and a commitment to staff development, affirmative action, and cultural diversity.
