Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 36 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <90 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - MaineHealth.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Tertiary and teaching hospital experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience: NICU/PICU cardiothoracic experience.

Required Credentials: NRP required for NICU coverage.

Special Requests: Travel pairs are not accepted.

Unit Details: Covers the entire facility with a team of 14-16 RRT. Patient ratios: acute 1:25, critical 1:8. Equipment includes Drager V500 and VN500, Hamilton T1 and C1, Respironics V30, V60, Trilogy line, Airvo, and Vapotherm.

Shift & Scheduling: On-call: 2 hours for the oncoming shift. Weekend Hours: 36/48

Floating Requirements: May float to NICU/PICU, pediatric acute care and ED, and adult acute and critical care areas.

7 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years

Driver’s license required for submission

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)
