Job Description

The Production Operator Assembler II is responsible for performing intermediate-level assembly and manufacturing operations, including equipment operation, inspection, testing, and secondary processing of components and medical devices. This role supports multiple production areas and requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow documented procedures, and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections using microscopes, gauges, calipers, and other measurement equipment.
• Complete required documentation, including production records, quality inspections, setup sheets, and history records.
• Read, understand, and follow work instructions, standard operating procedures, and applicable quality, ISO, and cGMP requirements.
• Support compliance with quality system, ISO standards, and medical device regulatory requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area following 5S principles.
• Communicate material, equipment, quality, or process issues promptly to appropriate personnel.
• Handle approved cleaning chemicals such as isopropyl alcohol, detergents, and solvents as required.
• Assemble, inspect, and package medical devices and components according to specifications and work instructions.
• Operate advanced manual and semi-automated assembly equipment.
• Perform in-process quality inspections and document results.
• Perform advanced secondary operations, including:
• Trimming
• Deburring
• Cleaning
• Passivation
• Laser marking
• Laser welding
• Label generation and inspection
• Component finishing
• Utilize precision measurement equipment such as micrometers, digital calipers, drop indicators, and pull testers.
• Operate testing equipment and accurately enter data into applicable systems.
• Verify product conformance to specifications and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Experience using microscopes in a manufacturing or inspection setting.
• Experience in medical device manufacturing or other regulated industries.
• Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read, write, and follow written instructions in English.
• Basic math skills and strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Experience using basic hand tools and measurement equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Benefits
