Maintenance Technician

Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd Shift at our Troy, IL facility! The core hours are Monday -Friday, 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.


The hourly rate for this position is $27.92 per hour, plus a $0.50 cent shift differential. Employees follow a wage progression schedule and will reach $30.61 per hour after 16 months.

What you'll do:

In this function, you will:
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment and mechanical issues.
• Install, repair, and/or fabricate new equipment and components as needed.
• Supporting the Tier 1 & 2 operational processes through completion of action cards and rapid response activities.
• Support physical transformation and continuous improvement (GDP) initiatives throughout the facility.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Troy, IL will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Position Success Criteria:
• Ability to operate Rigging Equipment to include nylon straps, wire braded straps, wire braded chain slings, sheet stock handler, rail rack attachment and spreader bars.
• Ability to wear Fall protection Body Harness and lanyard
