This full-time opportunity is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys owning projects from concept to production, mentoring others, and contributing directly to innovative product development.The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for leading the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of mechanical systems and products that support company operations and manufacturing. This role provides technical leadership, collaborates with cross-functional teams, mentors junior engineering staff, and ensures projects are completed efficiently and in alignment with company objectives and engineering standards.Key responsibilities include:Leading the design and development of mechanical components, assemblies, and systemsOverseeing product development projects from concept through productionReviewing and approving engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentationAnalyzing product performance and recommending design improvementsSupporting manufacturing operations through troubleshooting and technical expertiseCollaborating with production, quality control, purchasing, and leadership teamsEnsuring compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and company proceduresConducting testing, validation, failure analysis, and prototype evaluationsProviding mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and technical staffParticipating in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting activitiesEvaluating materials, manufacturing methods, and cost-saving opportunitiesAssisting with prototype fabrication and hands-on testing when necessaryMaintaining accurate engineering records and documentationWhat we're looking for:Required qualifications include:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering disciplineMinimum of 5 years of relevant mechanical engineering experienceStrong understanding of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and product developmentProficiency in SolidWorks and related engineering design toolsStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and organizational abilitiesAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneouslyPreferred qualifications include:Professional Engineering (PE) certification preferredExperience in manufacturing and production environmentsExperience leading engineering projects and mentoring team membersKnowledge of quality control standards and continuous improvement processesWork environment and physical requirements include:Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environmentsAbility to occasionally lift materials or equipment up to 50 lbs.Ability to stand, walk, and inspect production areas as neededPhysical presence on-site in Holly Hill, Florida is requiredOccasional travel may be required depending on project needsBSR offers a collaborative and creative environment where innovation, teamwork, and craftsmanship are highly valued.
