Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Any active state RN license or compact license accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Must be able to pass an online EKG competency assessment prior to starting the assignment. Description: This is a 29-bed unit that requires cardiology medical care and interventions. Key procedures include femoral arterial sheath removals and groin management. The role involves titration of cardiac medication drips. Common diagnoses include congestive heart failure, NSTEMI, cardiac arrhythmias, angina, and chest pain rule-outs. Other considerations include management of hyper/hypotension blood pressure, status post cardiac catheterization, and status post pacemaker insertion. The facility specializes in monitoring telemetry patients who have undergone various cardiac procedures. Candidates must have experience using the Epic charting system. Floating within the hospital or to other nearby facilities may be required based on patient needs. Availability to work every other weekend and holiday is necessary. Traveling nurses are not eligible for employee incentives. Candidates should be comfortable floating to different units and managing a variety of patient care tasks. A maximum of 14 days of requested time off is allowed during the contract duration. Candidates must complete lab work and an EKG/dysrhythmia exam promptly upon signing the contract.
