About the Role
The Company is seeking a Managing Director of Development to join their national team. The successful candidate will be a frontline fundraiser and collaborative leader, playing a pivotal role in increasing revenue to support the organization's growth and long-term sustainability. This position is remote and requires a dedicated individual to oversee a team of fundraisers, ensuring strong portfolio management, effective donor strategy, and seamless coordination between national and regional fundraising efforts. The role demands a strategic approach to align national and regional development efforts, with a focus on meeting the organization's revenue goals. The Managing Director will also be responsible for leading frontline fundraising for a portfolio of institutional donors and must be adept at relationship development, strategic planning, and revenue generation. Applicants for the Managing Director of Development position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' progressive fundraising experience, with at least 3 years' in a people management role. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in institutional fundraising and expertise in another fundraising domain. A deep commitment to the mission of the organization and a strong belief in its core values are essential. The role requires a candidate with excellent leadership and management skills, the ability to foster a collaborative work environment, and a strategic, data-driven approach to fundraising. The Managing Director will be expected to demonstrate excellence in donor communications, possess an entrepreneurial spirit, and be proactive in seeking new funding opportunities.
