Heart Failure Specialist Opportunity

Nuvance Health, part of Northwell Health, is seeking a Heart Failure Specialist to join our growing Heart and Vascular Institute at Danbury and Norwalk Hospitals in Connecticut. The ideal candidate will be board certified in Cardiology and board certified/eligible in Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiology and looking to collaborate with our HF specialists across our larger hospital system. Post fellowship training experience preferred. Leadership experience a plus. Specific responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with the larger Northwell HF Team and have opportunity to spend time at the main campus
• In and outpatient consultation for Danbury and Norwalk patient populations
• Management of patients on mechanical support in inpatient and outpatient settings
• Continued management of readmission reduction and HF care pathways
• Continued education for network clinicians/trainees on relevant and practical HF topics

We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary plus incentives and generous allowances for CMEs and Dues expenses as well as relocation allowance. Danbury Hospital's Emergency Department is an accredited Level II Trauma Center, a Stroke Center and a Chest Pain Center, offering 24-hour interventional cardiology. Cardiac services at the hospital include Nuclear Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, and Arrhythmia Center. Our Cardiac Surgery Program includes TAVR. Norwalk Hospital, a Level II Trauma Center, is accredited as a Stroke Center and certified to provide Emergency Angioplasty for heart attack. Danbury, Connecticut, located in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains and nearby to Westchester and Putnam Counties in New York, is about 60 miles northeast of New York City. Norwalk Hospital is situated along the Long Island Sound, with convenient train access to New York City.
