Job Description
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year in Granger, WA. This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide specialized instruction and support to elementary students in a Life Skills Special Education classroom while making a meaningful impact on students' academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and functional development.
This assignment provides the opportunity to work within a collaborative educational team focused on student growth, independence, and success.
Work Schedule:
Full-Time
35 Hours per Week
5 Days per Week
August 12, 2026 – June 15, 2027
Elementary School Setting
Life Skills Special Education Classroom
Qualifications:
Valid Washington Special Education Certification required
Experience working with elementary students with disabilities preferred
Experience in a Life Skills or self-contained special education setting preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
Knowledge of special education compliance, IEP development, and implementation
Ability to create structured, supportive, and inclusive learning environments
Commitment to supporting students with diverse academic, behavioral, and functional needs
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals and Washington state standards
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Provide academic, behavioral, and functional instruction within a Life Skills setting
Support students in developing communication, social-emotional, academic, and daily living skills
Implement individualized accommodations, modifications, and evidence-based interventions
Collect and maintain accurate student progress data and documentation
Collaborate with families, related service providers, administrators, and general education staff
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
Create a structured, positive, and supportive classroom environment
