Key Qualifications:
- Active Indiana Special Education Teaching certification required for interview consideration
- Proven experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Demonstrated ability to adapt instructional methods to meet diverse student needs
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to fostering a positive, encouraging, and respectful learning atmosphere
- Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic educational settings
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students with varying needs in compliance with IEPs
- Assess student abilities and progress, documenting and communicating results appropriately
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to build successful learning experiences
- Design engaging lesson plans and modify curriculum materials, ensuring accessibility and success for all students
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student-centered goals
- Maintain organized and thorough records in line with district and state guidelines
