Join us!Job Description:This job is responsible for analyzing and interpreting a client's credit worthiness, evaluating credit risks, and writing credit approval memos for annual renewals and new lending opportunities. Key responsibilities include analyzing qualitative and quantitative data such as client's financials, projections, industry data, covenant compliance, and collateral appraisals to ensure compliance with the bank's risk appetite. Job expectations include completing regular monitoring and underwriting tasks and supporting key internal stakeholders to achieve successful execution of new transactions.The Credit Analyst II role is responsible for working with a credit team to support the credit underwriting and/or monitoring process for new and existing clients. Responsibilities include completing credit analysis to assess a client’s creditworthiness, evaluating credit risk, completing analysis in various systems, and writing financial analysis for approval and/or monitoring documents.At this level, the analyst independently analyzes both qualitative and quantitative data, including client financials, projections, industry data, covenant compliance, collateral documentation, and adherence to policy and procedural requirements.Responsibilities:Analyzes client financial information, identification/mitigation of potential risks, compliance with regulatory requirements and evaluation of collateral in determination of credit worthinessCompletes monitoring activities via analysis of clients’ financial performance and collateral evaluation to ensure appropriate requirements are metListens in to client meetings to develop a deeper understanding of the client's business, management team, and past and future performanceReviews completed client requests to ensure compliance with policy and proceduresUnderstands how credit data is used internally and provided to regulatory partnersAssists with periodic portfolio reviewsParticipates in loan structure conversations and completion of loan documentationEvaluates transaction and relationship risk-adjusted profitability to facilitate the allocation of capital Build projection models for the client (as needed) based on historical performance, industry forecasts, and other due diligence findingsAnalyze client financial information to assess creditworthiness, identify and mitigate risks, evaluate collateral, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal credit policiesPerform ongoing monitoring activities, including analysis of client financial performance and collateral positions, to proactively identify risks and trendsSupport loan structuring and execution by participating in discussions and assisting with the preparation and completion of loan documentationReview client requests and credit submissions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to credit policies and proceduresParticipate in client meetings and portfolio reviews to deepen understanding of the client’s business, management team, and performance, while supporting internal and regulatory use of credit dataRequired Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of experience in credit analysis, underwriting support, or financial analysisBasic understanding of financial statements, cash flow analysis, and credit risk conceptsAbility to complete routine credit analysis and monitoring tasks with accuracy and timelinessExperience preparing or contributing to written financial or credit analysis documentationProficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to work with financial data and reportsStrong attention to detail and analytical skillsEffective written communication skillsAbility to manage multiple assignments and work effectively in a team environmentDesired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related fieldWorking knowledge of financial statements and cash flow analysis and credit risk fundamentalsAbility to complete routine credit and monitoring analyses independently with guidance on complex itemsExperience preparing written credit analysis for approval and/or monitoringFamiliarity with commercial lending concepts, credit policy, and loan documentationSkills:Analytical ThinkingFinancial AnalysisFinancial Forecasting and ModelingProfitability AnalysisResearch AnalysisAttention to DetailBusiness AcumenCredit and Risk AssessmentUnderwritingWritten CommunicationsCollaborationCritical ThinkingPortfolio AnalysisPrioritizationTechnical DocumentationShift:1st shift (United States of America)Hours Per Week: 40SummaryLocation: Charlotte; Dallas; AtlantaType: Full time
