Specimen Processor
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a Specimen Processor I in Tucker, Georgia to prepare laboratory specimens for analysis in a high-throughput environment. The role involves specimen accessioning, sorting, routing, and data entry on an evening shift (6:30 pm–3:00 am) with rotating weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and route to designated staging areas
- Accurately identify, label, pack, and ship specimens to testing facilities
- Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely
- Resolve and document problem specimens; properly prepare and store excess samples
- Meet department activity and production goals while working in team environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to handle biological specimens safely and accurately
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong data entry and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds regularly
- Pass standardized color blindness test
- 1+ year experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing, or warehouse (preferred)
