About This Role The Registered Nurse in the 2 North General Surgery Unit at St. Vincent Hospital is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients. Highlights Location: Erie, PA Facility: St. Vincent Hospital Schedule: Part-time What You'll Do Assess human responses and plan nursing care for individuals or families. Provide leadership in a professional practice setting. Assign or delegate tasks based on patient needs and staff skill levels. Participate on interdisciplinary teams to evaluate clinical care or health services. Promote patient safety initiatives and participate in quality initiatives. Utilize the nursing process to implement patient care plans. Analyze health status and determine patient care needs. Document changes in patient condition and notify appropriate personnel. Demonstrate commitment to lifelong learning and professional development. Promote compassionate communication that is patient and family-centered. Requirements Education: Current State of PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) required. Experience: Certification in area of specialty preferred. Licenses & Certifications: CPR certification required. Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate. Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate. Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
