About the Position

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an IMC/PCU/Stepdown setting, including support for a Thoracic Surgery unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms for oncology, cardiac, and stepdown patient populations
• Manage care for patients requiring ventilator support and transplant-related nursing interventions
• Float to other units as needed based on patient census and staffing requirements
• Complete a mandatory telemetry competency exam prior to start, meeting strict pass/fail criteria including 100% identification of lethal rhythms

• Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications - American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Telemetry, oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
• Ventilator and transplant experience required
• Minimum of two years of inpatient acute care RN experience within the last three years in the applicable specialty
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered

• Experience in a Thoracic Surgery nursing environment
• Familiarity with block weekend scheduling (Friday through Sunday)
• Prior travel nursing experience in a high-acuity academic or referral center setting
