Alaska PAWS (formerly the Alaska SPCA) is on the hunt for a Veterinary Customer Service Representative with a heart of gold, nerves of steel, and a love for all things furry.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 
  3 years of customer service experience
• 
  High school diploma or equivalent
• 
  Ability to type 40+ words per minute with high accuracy

Preferred Qualifications:

• 
  Not less than 6 months’ experience in a medical/veterinary setting
• High-volume appointment scheduling experience
• 
  Cash handling experience
• 
  Experience in a veterinary practice environment is highly preferred
• 
  Knowledge of veterinary clinic procedures and terminologies
• 
  Knowledge of companion animal welfare issues and sterilization

Physical Requirements:

• 
  Prolonged periods sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer.
• 
  Must be able to move/lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• 
  Frequent bending and standing throughout the day

Job Status:

• 
  Non-exempt; Full time: 40 hours a week

Compensation and Benefits:

• 
  $21.00 an hour, depending on skills and experience
• Four-day workweek
• 
  Paid vacation, sick, and holiday leave in addition to 3 paid personal days annually.
