Veterinary Technician

Who We Are Greylock Animal Hospital is a 6‑doctor, small‑animal clinic located in North Adams, MA, offering a broad range of veterinary services including wellness, dentistry, surgery, urgent care, and exotics. Position Details Position: Veterinary Technician (experienced or credentialed) Type: Full‑time Salary: $22 – $26 per hour Preferred credential: CVT, LVT, or RVT Responsibilities Triage patients and obtain comprehensive histories, vitals, and assessments. Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures. Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed. Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection. Support surgical and dental procedures (prep, monitoring, recovery, instrument care). Monitor anesthesia and patient vitals during procedures; maintain accurate records. Educate clients with compassion, clarity, and confidence. Qualifications Experienced assistant or technician preferred. Knowledge of preventive care and vaccines. Competent in emergency and surgical care, including IV catheter placement. Professional, compassionate communication with clients and staff. Knowledge of anesthesia monitoring, induction, and recovery.
