TSBU partners closely with leading automotive part suppliers and OEMs to develop cutting-edge products and systems that support powertrain, body electronics, safety and infotainment applications. The division plays a critical role in advancing vehicle connectivity, reliability, and performance by leveraging technical expertise and strong industry partnerships.What You Will DoAssist in documenting project scope, requirements, feasibility, and engineering work plans under senior engineer guidance.Collaborate with the engineering team and product management to capture and analyze customer needs.Support concept development, ensuring designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet customer requirements; develop risk mitigation plans.Conduct DFMEA, FEA, tolerance analysis, and other analytical studies with oversight from senior engineers.Create and maintain product models and drawings using GD&T, ensuring proper datum selection, dimensioning, and tolerancing with guidance from experienced engineers.Prepare and manage engineering change processes in line with company policies.Develop test plans (DVP&R) and analyze test results using statistical methods; perform DOE, Hypothesis Testing, and Capability Studies.Lead root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methods like 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone diagrams with senior guidance.What You Will Bring (Basic Qualifications)Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field3+ years of engineering experience in product designExperience creating DFMEAs and using FEA / tolerance stacks / analytical studies as part of a robust risk mitigation planExperience developing validation plans and analyzing test results to ensure a product meets performance requirementsExperience utilizing structured problem-solving methods to systematically determine root cause for complex technical issuesWhat Puts You Ahead3+ years of product design experience in the automotive industry (preferably in connection systems)Knowledge of resins, metals, engineering tools and processes, and manufacturing processes (injection molding, stamping, plating, assembly)At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
