Job Summary

As a Patient Care Technician, you will perform a variety of technical and direct care tasks including CPR, vital signs monitoring, telemetry support, EKG acquisition, wound care, phlebotomy, and assisting with patient mobility and personal hygiene. You will also support administrative duties such as documenting patient data and coordinating procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care within the scope of a Certified Nursing Assistant license.
• Assist with patient transport, personal care, and comfort measures.
• Monitor telemetry patients and perform diagnostic support tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and supplies.
• Respond promptly and courteously to patient needs and emergency codes.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to promote high-quality patient experiences.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant program.
• One to two years of patient care experience, preferably in acute care settings.
• Telemetry experience is a plus.

Licenses and Certifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (NA-C) license valid in the state of Washington.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Medical Assistant Phlebotomy certification preferred.

• Strong knowledge of patient care practices and ability to maintain required competencies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a caring and professional demeanor.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and medical equipment.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Work Environment

This is a per diem position with day shifts, offering flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to a positive healthcare environment in a rural setting within the Pacific Northwest. The role requires physical activity including lifting, standing, walking, and occasional bending.
