Tech in Development (TID) The Tech in Development (TID) is responsible for all aspects of gameroom maintenance and support for the District Technician at Chuck E. Cheese and Peter Piper Pizza restaurants. Compensation and Benefits Hourly rate: $17.00 – $21.00 (Non‑Exempt) Commission potential (Non‑Exempt): $2.00 – $8.00 per Membership sold, $0.60 – $2.40 per Fun Pass sold, paid bi‑weekly. Commission potential (Exempt): $0.50 – $10.00 per Membership sold, $0.15 – $3.00 per Fun Pass sold, paid bi‑weekly. Job Responsibilities Responsible for the gameroom area of impact (AOI). Troubleshoot games and be in charge of preventive maintenance of games, equipment, and show robotics. Train the Assistant Gameroom Technician and Team 2 Cast Members on basic gameroom responsibilities. Perform other duties and assist co‑workers as directed. Skills and Qualifications Prior experience in a technical role, a technical certification, or enrollment in a technical program; prior experience as a CEC Assistant Gameroom Technician is a plus. For internal candidates, completion of CEC Ladders and signed‑off. Mechanical and electrical aptitude required. Demonstrated desire to learn and grow. Strong customer service orientation. Sense of urgency and composure. Excellent decision‑making abilities. Time and priority management. Resourcefulness. Comfortable using Microsoft Suite applications. Minimum Qualifications Must be 18+ years of age. Must be able to work up to 40 hours per week, with possibility of overtime and shift flexibility, including weekends. High school diploma or GED required. Physical Demands The incumbent must sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, twist, reach, and carry, lift, pull, push between 0–50 lbs. during the scheduled shift. Use a computer with repetitive hand movements. The work environment includes flashing and flickering lights, moving mechanical parts, and loud noises.
