What You'll Do

• Conduct pediatric eye exams, including binocular vision and strabismus assessments
• Manage complex pediatric cases, including those with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, seizures, and facial abnormalities
• Perform contact lens fittings, including complex fittings for pediatric patients
• Utilize advanced imaging and diagnostic tools in an outpatient/hospital setting
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support staff (techs, ophthalmologists)
• Document patient care in Epic EMR system
• Support a diverse patient population with varied cognitive and developmental abilities

What You Need

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree with at least 3 years' experience working with pediatric populations in a medical setting
• Pediatric residency highly preferred; extensive experience in pediatric optometry required if no residency
• Valid California state license
• Current BLS certification
• Strong skills in pediatric contact lens fitting and binocular vision assessments
