Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

Make a meaningful difference as a travel OT in Oklahoma City, OK. We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to help patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve daily living and work skills. This opportunity is in a hospital setting and supports interdisciplinary care, discharge planning, patient/family education, and safe patient handling.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
• Active Oklahoma State OT license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Experience with inpatient hospital or acute care populations preferred.
• Ability to perform patient assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, document per department policy, and participate in interdisciplinary team rounds.
• Experience supervising COTAs and OT students preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with safe patient handling techniques and materials handling.
• Familiarity with discharge planning, adaptive equipment recommendations, and family/caregiver training.
• Experience implementing quality improvement initiatives.

Assignment Details

• Shift pattern: 5x8.

Impacting Patient Care

The Occupational Therapist performs evaluations, establishes individualized treatment plans, documents progress within defined timeframes, and contributes to discharge planning and patient/family education. The clinician promotes a culture of safety, adheres to facility appearance and punctuality standards, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to provide efficient, patient-centered care. Duties include supervising COTAs and students, participating in quality assurance efforts, and maintaining patient confidentiality.
