Starting Wage/Salary $57,011 - $63,000 plus exceptional benefits. This is a temporary full-time, grant-funded position funded through June 30, 2027; continuation beyond that date is contingent on future HECC funding of the Career Pathways grant. The Career Pathways Coordinator provides leadership, support, and direction related to Career Pathways (CP) grant deliverables, including Integrated Education and Training ( IET ) programming, and serves as a key point of contact for Adult Basic Skills ( ABS ), English Language Learner ( ELL ), and IET students. This position connects prospective and current students with the appropriate pathways, programs, and campus resources through outreach, referral, and light-touch support, while coordinating with ABS / ELL faculty, Career and Technical Education departments, and other College partners to ensure a strong student experience and grant compliance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Work closely with ABS Director and Instructional Outreach Dean to coordinate Career Pathways (CP) and Integrated Education and Training ( IET ) program implementation and support related grant deliverables. Attend Oregon Pathway Alliance convenings and serve as COCC’s CP point of contact with the HECC . Track, summarize, and compile data related to student enrollment, retention, completion, and transition to college and career in support of CP grant deliverables and State reporting requirements. Work with the ABS faculty and Career and Technical Education ( CTE ) departments to establish and refine policies and procedures related to IET and Bridge to College and Career programming. Explain program requirements, enrollment processes, and pathway options to prospective ABS students and other internal/external stakeholders and serve as a first point of contact for student's transition into the program. Work with COCC academic departments to support enrollments in CP, Bridge to College and Career, IET support courses and programs that align with Education Pathways. Work with COCC Marketing and Public Relations staff to target marketing strategies related to Career Pathways and ABS activities. Connect students to appropriate campus support resources including advising, financial aid, disability services, tutoring, career services, STEP , TRIO , and others as needed. Coordinate program-level wraparound support and logistics for IET and Bridge cohorts, in partnership with other relevant COCC staff. Monitor and coordinate Career Pathways budget to include computing instructional costs (e.g., staff, indirect, materials, equipment, student scholarships), providing budgeting and cost-effectiveness evaluations in collaboration with ABS Director and in support of grant requirements. Support IET curriculum work to include input on learning objectives that incorporate occupational alignment and workforce preparation. Maintain FERPA -compliant records and confidentiality of sensitive student information. Perform other related duties as assigned. Ability to develop knowledge of basic college degree concepts, transfer practices, and career readiness principles. Ability to meet deadlines, set work priorities, and manage workload. Ability to work independently and to use good judgment with respect to priorities and deadlines. Ability to maintain student confidentiality, data integrity, and comply with all related College, state, and federal standards, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act ( FERPA ). Ability to communicate information effectively regarding College policies and procedures to students. Ability to support and connect students from a variety of backgrounds, respecting cultural and socio-economic differences. Ability to manage conflicts within and/or between groups and to work in a team environment. Ability to plan and adhere to federal and state grant guidelines. Ability to use software programs and database systems, including the Microsoft Office Suite, email, basic desktop publishing, and modern office equipment. Ergonomic Requirements Regular office hours are established between 8 am – 5 pm during the workweek. A flexible work schedule, including nights and weekends, may be necessary due to the nature of the responsibilities. Some work duties may be completed remotely at the discretion of the supervisor. Incumbent must be able to function effectively indoors in an office environment engaged in work of primarily a sedentary nature. Requires the ability to work at a workstation for extended periods. Requires writing, reading written materials and computer screens, and using telephonic conversations. Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. All individuals are required to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Education Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Communications, or a related field. Experience Two (2) years of professional work experience in any combination of the following: Student services, advising, recruiting/outreach, client relationship management, or community engagement. One year of experience in grant management and/or coordination.
