Maintenance Technician

Ascent Resources is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician. This position will be located in the St. Clairsville area and will report to the Maintenance Foreman. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of facility equipment with Ascent's standard operating procedures, accepted industry standards, equipment specifications, contract requirements and company best management practices under direct supervision. Will interact with I&E Technicians, Measurement Technicians, and Lease Operators to maximize well production and end-user time, while reducing environmental hazards, safety risk, and cost.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Basic understanding of gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure equipment is working properly
• Knowledge of safety/environmental requirements and practices
• Report all incidents, near misses, and all spills
• Basic knowledge of analyzing and solving mechanical problems
• Able to perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
• Basic knowledge of oil and gas processes & production equipment
• Demonstrate effective use of a personal computer including Microsoft Office applications
• Represent the company in a professional manner at all times

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Minimum Requirements:

• Basic preventative maintenance task on surface production equipment
• Perform basic rebuilds on valves, pilots, etc.
• Basic knowledge on wellhead valve and SDV maintenance rebuilds
• Ability to identify potential hazards in the field and know how to mitigate them
• Ability to work independently and self-motivated
• Pay attention to detail
• Mechanically inclined
• Strong communication skills

Preferred:

• Maintenance background in Natural Gas Processing or an Industrial Type Operation
• Previous use of a Computerized Maintenance Management Program

Education & Work Experience Required Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• 2-5+ years related work experience or 1-4 years working experience or AAS/Vocational Certificate in a technical field

Preferred:

• Maintenance experience with Natural Gas Processing Equipment
• Operations experience with Natural Gas Facilities

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to be on feet for extended periods and easily move around piping and other equipment on location
• Tolerance to extreme weather conditions
• Drive to remote locations within the operating area
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work overtime and callouts as needed
• Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on the telephone
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical
