About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Technician III - Electronic Product Fabrication & Assembly to support the fabrication, assembly, testing, and integration of electronic hardware used in advanced engineering and aerospace-related applications. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy hands-on technical work, precision assembly, troubleshooting, and working in a collaborative manufacturing environment.

You will be responsible for building and testing electrical and mechanical assemblies, cable harnesses, rack systems, and support equipment while maintaining the highest standards of quality and workmanship.

Responsibilities

Electronic Fabrication & Assembly

• Fabricate, assemble, and rework electronic and mechanical hardware, including cable assemblies, chassis, rack systems, and test equipment.
• Perform wire stripping, crimping, connector installation, soldering, cable sleeving, shielding, and grounding tasks.
• Interpret and follow engineering drawings, schematics, wire lists, assembly instructions, and work orders.
• Assemble components using hand tools, power tools, and precision fabrication equipment.
• Identify and troubleshoot assembly, wiring, and workmanship issues.

Testing & Inspection

• Conduct continuity and electrical testing using digital multimeters (DMMs), cable testers, and related equipment.
• Record, document, and report test results accurately.
• Verify assemblies meet quality, safety, and engineering requirements.
• Recognize and escalate non-conforming products or out-of-tolerance conditions.

Project & Team Support

• Complete assignments within established production schedules and project deadlines.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program teams to support project objectives.
• Provide technical support and assist with production priorities as needed.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and product quality.

Compliance & Workplace Standards

• Follow established safety procedures, ESD controls, cleanroom requirements, and manufacturing processes.
• Maintain organized work areas and ensure proper handling of tools, materials, and equipment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational requirements.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Minimum 1+ year of experience in electronic assembly, cable fabrication, manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or related technical environments.
• Experience using hand tools, mechanical tools, and electronic assembly equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and technical documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cable and wire harness fabrication.
• Soldering experience and familiarity with electronic component assembly.
• Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) handling procedures.
• Experience working in cleanroom, laboratory, manufacturing, or production environments.
• Familiarity with IPC-A-620, J-STD-001, or similar industry standards.
• Experience using manufacturing or product lifecycle management systems.

Work Environment

• On-site position requiring regular attendance at the Westminster, CO facility.
• Work may be performed in manufacturing, laboratory, cleanroom, production floor, or engineering environments.
• Occasional use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required.
• Ability to lift, move, and handle materials and equipment as needed.
• Overtime may be required based on project schedules and business needs.
