Job Summary: Under the direction of an RN, the LPN provides physical, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual dimensions of care to patients and their families, including medical treatments, on a variety of rehabilitation and medically complex nursing units, as needed. LPNs are valuable members of the healthcare team at Gaylord Hospital and are exposed to a wide range of clinical experiences and skills.

Qualifications: Current CT LPN license required. Patient care/healthcare experience preferred but not required. American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross BLS Certification required.

Work Schedule: 24 Hours/Week-Evening Shift (3:00 pm-11:30 pm), every other weekend, holiday rotation.

Gaylord nursing units offer a variety of skills such as:

• Milne 1 & 2: Step down/progressive care unit of level of care includes: continuous telemetry monitoring, ventilator support and weaning, LVAD patient population, heart transplant population.
• Lyman 1 & Hooker 1: Medical units offer skills such as: stroke, complex wounds, telemetry, pulmonary care.
• Lyman 2 & Hooker 2: Specialty units are CARF accredited with a focused patient population: traumatic brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury.
