OCMS- Evening Custodian (2pm-10pm)

Job Goal To maintain a clean and neat appearance of the assigned facility. Job Type Classified (Job Class Code: 7609), Hourly. Reports to: School Plant Operator. Terms of Employment: Compensation will be based on 260 contract days and on the board‑approved 104 salary schedule. This position requires an 8‑hour workday. Minimum Qualifications High school graduate. Experience in plant maintenance preferred. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license. Must be able to push, pull or lift 40 pounds; kneel and reach above your head. Performance Responsibilities Keep building and premises, including sidewalks, driveways and play areas, neat and clean at all times according to the schedule prepared by the School Plant Operator. Shovel, plow and/or sand/salt walkways and steps as directed by the School Plant Operator. Sweep classrooms, dust furniture, and clean all chalkboards according to the schedule prepared by the School Plant Operator. Clean corridors after school each day and during the day according to the schedule prepared by the School Plant Operator. Scrub, hose down and disinfect toilet floors daily and clean all sanitary fixtures and drinking fountains according to the schedule prepared by the School Plant Operator. Wash all windows on both the inside and outside at least twice each year and more frequently if necessary according to the schedule prepared by the School Plant Operator. Clear debris from roofs, gutters and downspouts as needed. Keep all floors in a clean and attractive condition and in a good state of preservation according to the schedule prepared by the School Plant Operator. Report major repairs needed promptly to the School Plant Operator. Other duties as assigned by the School Plant Operator. Remove garbage. Perform reasonable requests made by school personnel. Open and secure the building and notify the supervisor immediately if keys are lost or misplaced. Clean, store and handle OCBE equipment properly.
