Associate Attorney | Insurance Coverage Practice Group (Washington D.C.) Jackson & Campbell is currently looking for a full‑time associate‑level attorney with at least 2 years of property/casualty insurance coverage experience to join our Insurance Coverage practice group. The successful candidate will work closely with practice group leadership, take on increasingly challenging projects, and assume greater responsibility over time. Key Responsibilities Conduct legal research regarding coverage and litigation issues. Perform coverage analysis – insurance policy review and claims fact review. Prepare draft coverage position letters. Handle all aspects of insurance coverage litigation – pleadings, discovery, motions, trial, settlement. Author articles on timely insurance topics. Education and Qualification Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Admission to the DC bar (or waiver eligibility) – required. Admission(s) to MD and/or VA preferred. At least 2 years of property/casualty insurance coverage experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong analytical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize and multi‑task a diverse caseload and meet deadlines. Self‑starter who takes responsibility and ownership of executing tasks. Associate attorneys are eligible to participate in the firm’s billable‑hours bonus program and the collections bonus program. Salary Range $125,000 – $145,000 based on experience and credentials. The higher end of the salary range is reserved for exceptional circumstances. After training and orientation, you will have the option to work remotely most days.
