Clinical Research Coordinator (Spanish Bilingual) - School of Nursing Work Arrangement: On-Site Requisition Number: 270924 Regular or Temporary: Regular Location: Durham, NC, US, 27710 Duke University School of Nursing Clinical Research Coordinator (Spanish‑speaking) position for research on traumatic brain injury and caregiver support. Full‑time, 100% grant‑funded, in‑person role. Position Responsibilities Conduct participant screening and recruitment, including daily screening of electronic medical records, enrolling English‑ and Spanish‑speaking individuals, and implementing strategies to maintain recruitment and retention. Lead study visits and data collection activities: conduct longitudinal visits and interviews in both languages, obtain informed consent, plan complex visits, and train staff as needed. Manage study operations and regulatory compliance: maintain documentation, prepare for audits, develop SOPs, support IRB communications, and coordinate required agreements. Oversee data collection, quality, and analysis: collect, enter, and validate data; develop tools and SOPs; map data flow; maintain security; conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses; prepare tables and reports. Support study and site management: track accrual and consent, schedule visits, manage supplies, and prepare for closeout and long‑term storage. Ensure ethical conduct of research: identify and report adverse events and collaborate with the PI on evaluation. Contribute to scientific and scholarly activities: conduct literature reviews, contribute to manuscripts, presentations, and posters, and serve as co‑author. Demonstrate leadership and professional development: participate in committees, engage in training, solve problems, lead meetings, and communicate effectively. Perform additional responsibilities: process subject payments, complete required documentation, and perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate’s degree with at least two years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree. Fluency in Spanish and English (speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension). Preferred: experience on randomized controlled trials; clinical research or healthcare environments; working with patient populations, especially those with complex medical conditions. Skills: support qualitative and quantitative data; proficiency in Microsoft Office and web‑based applications; experience with REDCap, Qualtrics, and NVivo (preferred); ability to use SAS, R, or SPSS under supervision. Other requirements: forward‑ and back‑translation of study materials, flexibility for evenings and weekends, knowledge of regulatory and institutional research policies and procedures.
