As a Security Officer - Full Time in Cedar Rapids, IA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Security Professional at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points, verify access credentials, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $26.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying identification, credentials, visitor authorization, and contractor or delivery documentation before permitting entry.
• Maintain accurate access-related logs, issue and recover visitor badges or credentials, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and documenting relevant details.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, operational areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
