As a Security Officer - Experience Required in Cedar Rapids, IA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and maintain clear, professional communication. Pay Rate: $26.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the industrial location by verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing authorized personnel to designated areas.
• Operate access-control systems, observe entry and exit activity, and report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, and security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate site personnel and emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Supervisory experience is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
