Information Technology Help Desk Technician

Role: Information Technology Helpdesk Technician Location: Manhattan, New York Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 + Benefits We’re working with a rapidly scaling Ecommerce / Retail organization in Manhattan that is continuing to invest heavily into internal technology, AI tooling and operational efficiency. They’re looking for an IT Helpdesk Technician to support users across the business whilst also helping employees get more value from modern AI tools and internal systems. This is a business-facing support role with a modern edge. Alongside day-to-day support, you’ll help drive adoption of tools such as ChatGPT, Claude and Microsoft Copilot, working closely with users to improve workflows, reduce manual processes and make better use of the technology already available internally. You’ll also work alongside a dedicated Data & AI Engineering function, helping identify opportunities where automation and AI can improve day-to-day operations across the business. The role is well suited to someone who enjoys working closely with people, solving problems, improving processes and staying close to emerging technology. Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day IT support across users, devices and internal systems Support Microsoft 365, SaaS platforms and user access management Support employees with AI tools including ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot and Gemini Identify repetitive tasks and operational inefficiencies that could benefit from automation or AI solutions Work closely with the Data & AI Engineering team on process improvement initiatives Support onboarding/offboarding, device setup and license management Maintain internal documentation, knowledge articles and user guidance Requirements: Previous experience (2+ years) within IT Support, Helpdesk or End User Support Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments Strong communication skills and confidence supporting non-technical users Interest in AI tools and emerging technology Comfortable working across both support and project-focused work Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability Exposure to ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot or similar AI tools Experience with Okta, Google Workspace or modern SaaS environments Exposure to automation tools such as Power Automate, Zapier or n8n Why apply?
