Senior Technical Service Advisor - Environmental Solutions (Seattle, WA)

POSITION SUMMARY: The Sr. Technical Service Advisor will play a pivotal role in providing high-level technical waste disposal expertise and support to sales, operations, and customers. The incumbent partners directly with customer service, sales, and operations teams to ensure acceptance and disposal of waste materials. This position will troubleshoot technical issues and contribute to the overall success of the organization by providing expertise in proper, safe, and legal treatment of hazardous waste.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Support and build regular and direct rapport with customers; serve as a direct extension of the sales and customer service teams. Collaborate with cross-functional teams applying specialized knowledge regarding waste treatment and disposal services. Engage proactively with clients to understand technical requirements, deliver customized solutions, and ensure satisfaction through ongoing communication and attentive support. Meet with clients to discuss waste management solutions, analyze laboratory results and safety data sheets, and compile technical data into comprehensive reports. Investigate hazardous waste regulations, aid in waste classification, collaborate with internal teams to evaluate treatment options, and comply with transportation guidelines. Work closely with the sales department to offer solutions that meet quality and regulatory standards, perform technical evaluations, facilitate communication between departments, maintain customer pricing records, and focus on customer retention and business development. Support the development of bid materials by working with sales managers.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Partner with associates and managers with a high level of accuracy and the ability to detect inconsistencies in data. Advanced knowledge of RCRA laws and regulations related to waste characterization, waste processing protocols, and DOT regulations and industry best practices. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documentation, technical procedures, and governmental regulations to respond effectively to inquiries. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presenting findings concisely. Advanced negotiation and problem‑solving skills. Good knowledge of business math, geometry, and basic accounting processes. Knowledge of computer technology for communication, data gathering, and reporting. Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office, DocuSign, and PDF writer.

QUALIFICATIONS

Commitment to customer service and the ability to actively listen to customers to understand requests, resolve issues, or make recommendations. Attentive to detail with a high level of accuracy and the ability to detect inconsistencies in data; able to identify trends and data patterns.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

4–7 years of equivalent work experience in waste disposal, chemistry, or a related field providing technical expertise. Location: Seattle, WA office. Minimal travel (~5%). Typical schedule: 8 am–5 pm Pacific. Pay range: $81,800–$112,400 salary.

Pay Range: $81,800.00 to $112,400.00 (local variation applies).
