Exemption Status: Exempt Job Description: The Director of Student Leadership and Strategic Partnerships in the Neidorff School of Business (Neidorff) is a senior administrative professional responsible for leading the Neidorff Scholars Program and advancing strategic partnerships with corporate, nonprofit, alumni, and regional stakeholders. This role serves as a student-facing central connector across the School of Business, cultivating experiential learning opportunities including site visits, consulting projects, co-ops, internships, and mentoring programs. The Director collaborates closely with faculty, deans, and campus partners to ensure high-impact, practice-oriented learning experiences that enhance student success, career readiness, and community engagement. This position requires strategic relationship management, program leadership, and cross-functional collaboration appropriate to a mid-level professional role in the San Antonio higher education market. JOB DUTIES Leadership of Neidorff Scholar Program Direct and manage all aspects of the named scholar program for undergraduate business students. Recruit, select, onboard, and mentor scholar cohorts. Design and deliver professional development programming, leadership workshops, and enrichment activities, including a one-credit first year “life-lab” for first years interested in business disciplines. Facilitate connections between scholars and alumni, executives, and community leaders through the Neidorff alumni-mentoring program. Organize student competitions on campus and support off-campus competitions. Track student progress, engagement, and outcomes; prepare annual impact reports. Manage program communications, events, and budgets. Corporate and Industry Partnerships Serve as Neidorff’s primary liaison with regional, national, and international firms in support of curricular and co-curricular activities. In collaboration with CELCS staff and the Director of Corporate Relations, develop and sustain partnerships that generate: Student site visits, Corporate-sponsored consulting projects, Co-op and internship placements, Executive mentoring relationships, and Class and student club guest lecturers. Coordinate student professional development activities in partnership with CELCS. Represent Neidorff at industry events and community forums. Maintain CRM or tracking systems for employer relationships, experiential placements, internships and post-graduate outcomes for AACSB reporting. Community-Engaged Learning & Nonprofit Partnerships Partner with faculty to identify and cultivate relationships with local nonprofit organizations for course-based consulting and applied projects. Coordinate project scopes, timelines, deliverables, and community partner expectations. Ensure alignment between academic objectives and community impact. Assess outcomes and document impact for accreditation and reporting purposes. Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with faculty to embed experiential learning opportunities within curricula. Partner with the Dean’s Office on strategic initiatives and donor-supported programs. Work closely with: CELCS leadership on internships and employer development, Alumni Relations on mentoring and engagement, and Center for International Education on global site visits and international experiential learning. Contribute to college-wide strategic planning and student success initiatives. Assessment, Reporting, and Administration Track and analyze student participation and employment outcomes. Prepare reports for accreditation, rankings, and donor stewardship. Manage budgets, contracts, and partnership agreements. Ensure compliance with university policies and risk management standards. ADDITIONAL DUTIES Cooperates and collaborates with other employees in the spirit of teamwork and collegiality and interacts with confidence, patience and integrity to provide professional leadership during emergencies. Complies with all Trinity University policies and guidelines. Performs other duties as required. EDUCATION Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, higher education administration, or related field. Preferred: Master’s degree in business, higher education administration, or related field. EXPERIENCE Required: 5 years of professional experience in higher education administration, corporate relations, nonprofit management, business development, or career development. Preferred: 7 years of professional experience in higher education administration, corporate relations, nonprofit management, business development, or career development. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Required: Demonstrated experience building and maintaining external partnerships. Experience mentoring or advising undergraduate students. Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with executives, faculty, students, and community leaders. Preferred: Experience within a college of business or AACSB-accredited environment. Familiarity with internship/co-op programming and employer relations. Experience working with nonprofit organizations or community-based learning initiatives. Budget management and program assessment experience. BUDGET RESPONSIBILITY Accountable for tracking and rendering counsel and advice regarding the development of the department budget.
