Job Overview A law firm seeks a highly qualified Technical Specialist or Patent Agent to join their team in Overland Park, KS. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-tech patent prosecution and proficiency in patent searching and drafting IP-related opinions. Duties Conduct patent searches and draft patentability opinions. Prepare freedom-to-operate and other IP-related opinions. Collaborate with team members on complex patent prosecution matters. Requirements 2-5 years of experience in high-tech patent prosecution. Proficiency in patent searching and drafting IP-related opinions. Experience as a patent agent or in a law firm or industry setting preferred. Education Advanced degree in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, data science, artificial intelligence, or a related technical field.
