Our organization, a leading health system in Orange County, California, is excited to announce an opportunity for a full-time OB Hospitalist to become part of our expanding program in Irvine, CA. We are committed to enhancing our Hoag Irvine campus and are looking for passionate OB Physicians to help us fulfill our mission of providing exceptional care to our community.

We offer comprehensive, family-oriented labor and delivery services at our Newport Beach and Irvine locations. Our facilities include:

• Private Suites: Comfortable accommodations with 24/7 OB hospitalist coverage and Level 3A NICU care.
• Specialized Care: Our center, located in the Sue & Bill Gross Women's Pavilion, promotes "golden hour" skin-to-skin contact and provides specialized support for high-risk pregnancies.
• Amenities: Features such as aromatherapy, baths, and advanced in-room technology enhance the experience for laboring families.

• Locations: The primary unit is situated in the Sue & Bill Gross Women's Pavilion in Newport Beach, which includes 18 labor, delivery, and recovery suites. Our Irvine facility offers private, home-like birthing suites.
• Care Team: Our staff consists of board-certified OB hospitalists, dedicated anesthesiologists, and Magnet-recognized nursing professionals.
• Facilities: Each private suite is equipped with amenities such as private bathrooms, sleeper sofas for support, and in-room baby warmers.
• Specialized Services: We provide a 24/7 obstetrics emergency department, a Level 3A NICU for high-risk cases, and a fetal diagnostic center.
• Support Services: In-room lactation assistance, postpartum counseling, and additional amenities like tea service and aromatherapy are available.
• Procedure Flow: For childbirth, patients are directed to the 5th floor of the Women's Pavilion in Newport for triage.

• 5th Floor Unit: Contains 18 private suites, 3 operating rooms, and a spacious family waiting area.
• Post-Delivery Care: The "golden hour" allows for uninterrupted bonding and skin-to-skin time.
• Mother-Baby Unit: Located on the 7th floor for post-delivery care.
• Fudge Family Birthing Suites: Ground-floor suites dedicated to labor and delivery.
• Postpartum Suites: Situated on the 6th floor for mother and baby care.

• We are looking for a full-time commitment.
• Shifts available include both 12-hour and 24-hour options.
• Both Newport Beach and Irvine locations are high-volume birthing centers.
• Call responsibilities are shared among the team, averaging about 3 call days per month.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including anesthesiologists and maternal-fetal medicine specialists.
• Work alongside experienced and dedicated RNs and support staff.
• Utilize our EMR system: Epic.

• M.D. or D.O. degree is required.
• Graduation from an ACGME-accredited program.
• Possession of an active California medical license or the ability to obtain one.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Capability to secure full and unrestricted hospital/surgical privileges at our facility.
