Role Overview We seek an enthusiastic, results-driven candidate to serve as a Senior Product Manager within the Retirement team. In this role, you will work with business stakeholders, creative and engineering partners to create compelling, effective, and innovative online experiences that support our Fiduciary Services and Plan Advantage products. The position is based in our Chicago office and follows a hybrid model with a minimum of four days onsite. Job Responsibilities Own product strategy, roadmap, and product development lifecycle for Fiduciary Services and Plan Advantage (FS/MPA) business Lead a cross-functional & global development squad to roll out new FS/MPA products and features Partner with research, methodology and design leaders across the organization to build products that align with the goals for Retirement Plan providers, Broker Dealers and Retirement Advisors Demonstrate curiosity about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its potential to improve product experience and client outcomes Develop business requirements refined and validated with customers, prioritize conflicting work, and work within an Agile software development framework Oversee the development and roll‑out of multiple new products and features, and work with marketing, sales, and client service to execute a strategy for ongoing support Work directly with prospects and clients to create awareness and drive adoption of Morningstar Retirement software within the target segment and to advance specific client opportunities Demonstrate product capabilities to prospective clients, including functionality and methodology Serve as an expert for Sales and Client Service and play an active role in product trial, conversion, or sunsetting/migration processes Partner with Client Service and Client Solutions to understand clients’ feedback on the product Qualifications A passion for retirement planning and helping investors A minimum of six to eight years of relevant and progressive experience as a product manager Strong knowledge of product development, lifecycle and agile methodologies Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast‑paced environment Willingness to juggle multiple different responsibilities and stakeholders to get things done Work with internal stakeholders and tech members on design & implementation, with clients on gathering their needs, and doing what it takes to get innovative solutions to market Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong customer service focus Willingness to connect with global colleagues at off‑hours Previous knowledge of the retirement industry or Workplace products would be considered a plus A bachelor’s degree is required Compensation and Benefits Financial Health 100% 401k match up to 6% of salary Stock Ownership Potential Company provided life insurance – 1x salary + commission Physical Health Comprehensive health benefits (medical/dental/vision) including potential premium discounts and company‑provided HSA contributions (up to $500‑$2,000 annually) for specific plans and coverages Additional medical Wellness Incentives – up to $300‑$600 annual Company‑provided long‑ and short‑term disability insurance Emotional Health Trust‑Based Time Off 6‑week Paid Sabbatical Program 6‑Week Paid Family Caregiving Leave Competitive 8‑24 Week Paid Parental Leave Adoption Assistance Leadership Coaching & Formal Mentorship Opportunities Annual Flex Stipend – $1,000 annually to cover personal education & well‑being expenses Tuition Reimbursement Social Health Charitable Matching Gifts program Dollars for Doers volunteer program Paid volunteering days 15+ Employee Resource & Affinity Groups Total Cash Compensation Range $121,400.00‑186,150.00 inclusive of annual base salary and target incentive.
