Senior Manufacturing Electrical Engineer

Abbott seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer for its Neuromodulation division in Plano, Texas. This role focuses on failure analysis, test development, and troubleshooting of implantable medical devices during manufacturing and testing phases.
Responsibilities
- Lead failure analysis and root-cause investigation for products failing during manufacturing and testing
- Develop and execute test plans including protocol development, custom tooling design, and electrical testing
- Analyze test data, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions
- Modify and maintain test platform hardware and software as needed
- Debug PCB schematics, layouts, and assembly processes for troubleshooting
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, systems engineering, or computer science
- 5+ years of experience in medical device manufacturing or equivalent
- Proficiency in Visual Studio C# programming
- Hands-on experience with test equipment and instrumentation
- Experience with AOI systems, including Cognex vision system programming
- Ability to document test procedures, results, and technical issues
Compensation: $78,000–$156,000 base
