2027-2028 Tenure Track Faculty -- Management Department The Rozanne and Billy Rosenthal Department of Management at the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin is hiring tenure-track faculty positions in Strategic Management and in Organizational Behavior to join in the fall of 2027. Our primary focus will be on candidates nearing completion of their Ph.D. who are applying for an Assistant Professor position, though we encourage experienced junior faculty candidates to apply as well. The Rosenthal Department of Management is housed within the McCombs School of Business, a top ranked school in the UT-Dallas Business School Research Rankings that aspires to become the highest-impact public research business school. The department provides an outstanding environment for research, including a strong PhD program, access to graduate and undergraduate research assistants, and substantial research funding. Faculty benefit from a collaborative, research-intensive environment that supports high-impact scholarship across a broad range of management disciplines and methodological approaches. Current members of the department include: Professors Caroline Bartel (Department Chair), Ethan Burris, Janet Dukerich, David Harrison, Luis Martins, Francisco Polidoro, and Metin Sengul; Associate Professors Steven Gray, Andrew Henderson, Shefali Patil, and Ram Ranganathan; and Assistant Professors Shiva Agarwal, Andrew Brodsky, Constantinos Coutifaris, Natalie Croitoru, Harsh Ketkar, Jay Park, and Dan Schliesmann. The Rosenthal Department of Management is home to six thriving centers and institutes: Business of Sports Institute, Center for Leadership and Ethics, Harkey Institute for Undergraduate Entrepreneurial Studies, Herb Kelleher Entrepreneurship Center, Jon Brumley Institute for Graduate Entrepreneurship, and the Kendra Scott Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership Institute. In addition, the department operates the school’s one-year Master of Science in Technology Commercialization (MSTC) Program. Candidates must also be able to teach successfully at the undergraduate, MBA, and/or executive level. A Ph.D. (or very near completion) from an accredited institution is required.
