Professor of Accounting (Assistant or Associate) College/School/Unit: McCombs School of Business Department: Department of Accounting Posted: Jul 30, 2026 Apply By: Open until filled Description The McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austininvites applications for two full-time positions with the ShulkinDepartment of Accounting, at the rank of tenure-track assistantprofessor (with or without experience) or tenured associateprofessor, to begin in the academic year of 2027-2028. Applicantswith financial-archival research interests are especiallyencouraged to apply for priority consideration for one of thepostions. Our faculty is comprised of scholars with a variety of backgroundsand interests. Successful applicants will be expected to establishan internationally recognized research program at the University ofTexas, mentor graduate students, and teach at the undergraduate andgraduate levels. The predominant mode of instruction and researchis in-person, such that faculty appointed for employment shallreside in the proximate area of the work site for the duration oftheir appointment and be able to maintain a daily in-personschedule at the assigned work site. Qualifications Successful applicants must have strong research and teachingcapabilities. A Ph.D. degree should either be completed or verynear completion with the expectation of completion by the startdate of the appointment.
