Construction Field Technician

FIELD TECHNICIAN

Exteriors & Renovations Construction | Charleston, SC | Full-Time

Total Potential Compensation Package: $38,000 – $60,000 | No Experience Required - We Train You

Forge Your New Future as Our Construction Apprentice

Most jobs ask you to show up, put in your hours, and go home. This one gives you something back.

At New Beginnings Construction you are not a number on a schedule. You are part of a crew that shows up for each other, learns a real trade together, and builds something this community will use for decades. Drive through Charleston and you will see the homes you helped build.

Military veteran, landscaping pro, warehouse worker, recent graduate, or someone ready to leave a dead-end job for a real career - this is your chance to get paid while you learn the trade. No experience required. We train you from day one.

We Are Guided by These Core Principles

Strong Moral Compass. Guided by honesty, integrity, and faith in all we do.

Commitment to Community. Serve to be a blessing to our customers, team members, and neighbors at large.

Dedication to Personal Improvement. Personal growth equates to company success, and vice versa.

Work Smarter AND Harder. Diligence and improvement to provide an excellent customer experience from start to finish.

Who We Are

We are a six-time winner of Charleston's Best Of Award for Best Roofer (2021–2026) and a five-time winner for Best Home Remodeler (2022–2026).

NBC is a residential and light commercial construction company serving Charleston homeowners. Our work spans both sides of the house - roofing, siding, windows, and outdoor living on the exterior side, and kitchens, bathrooms, and whole-home remodels on the renovation side.

A Day in the Life

No two weeks look the same. Your day starts around 8:00 AM, meeting your crew on site or loading tools for the day's project. After a quick check-in with your Site Supervisor, you get to work.

Our trade crews handle the installation work. Your job is to make sure they can do it well. That means staging and handling materials, documenting progress with photos and daily logs, checking that the site is set up right, helping the Site Supervisor keep the schedule on track, and keeping the job site clean and safe from first day to final walkthrough. On renovation jobs you will also get hands-on with demo, cleanup, and assisting our tradesmen.

Because we run Exteriors and Renovations as one production team, you see the whole business - roofing and siding one week, kitchens and baths the next. You learn how a job actually gets run: sequencing, quality standards, subcontractors, and customer experience. That is exactly the training that turns a Field Technician into a Site Supervisor.

More Than a Paycheck

The people who build long careers here stay for reasons that do not fit on a pay stub.

You will belong to a crew. You are never handed a tool and left to figure it out. A Site Supervisor and experienced tradesmen are there to teach you. Ask anything - nobody here started out knowing this either.

You will see what you built. There is real satisfaction in knowing a family has a safe roof, a finished kitchen, or a porch they will spend the next twenty summers on - and that you put it there.

You will have a life outside of work. Our work is residential and local. You are in Charleston-area neighborhoods, not living out of a hotel, and you go home every night.

You will be part of giving back. Commitment to Community is not a poster in our break room. Serving our customers, team members, and neighbors is one of the four principles this company was built on.

You will be valued. We treat every team member like family. Your ideas are welcome, your effort gets noticed, and your growth is something we invest in on purpose.
