divh2Financial Analyst/h2pThis role is responsible for providing financial analysis and reporting support within the Rate Case Support function and Plant Accounting and Reporting Teams. This position requires a blended knowledge of technical and functional financial reporting and analysis skills. This position will have responsibility for preparing accounting responsibilities and assignments related to various regulatory filings and rate cases across multiple jurisdictions. This role will require strong organizational skills, project and time management skills, attention to detail, and collaboration within the Regulated Utility Accounting Reporting teams, Rates and Regulatory, Finance, and other Asset Accounting groups as well as various areas of the Company. Strong analytical skills and the ability to exercise judgment are essential. Strong/advanced excel skills (pivot table, vlookup, sumifs, etc.) is a must./ppResponsibilities Duties: Prepare, analyze, and review journal entries, perform account reconciliations, prepare financial schedules, and review balance sheets for areas of responsibility as needed. Prepare reports using Business Objects, Hyperion, and other query tools. Assist with special projects, accounting procedures, controls, and documentation as needed./ppRequired Education: Bachelors degree or a combination of education plus equivalent work experience (accounting degree preferred). Demonstrated working knowledge of GAAP. Proven effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to meet tight deadlines and respond quickly to changing needs through a teamwork approach. Demonstrated ability to work independently. Experience with accounting and reporting systems. Ability to utilize software applications (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, etc.). Knowledge of Utility Accounting and PeopleSoft experience. 3-5 years experience./p/div
